Seamless stairs & restored bedrooms
Highly recommend Durham Designs for your wood flooring needs! Jason and his team (Chris and Trenton in our case) completed two significant projects for us. In the end, three bedrooms had carpet removed and hardwood floors underneath were restored to their glory. Chris installed treads and risers on three different sets of stairs (one of which required custom shaping of the treads). Trenton installed flooring on two landings creating a seamless entry from the landings to the bedrooms. We are so pleased with the results as well as with the professionalism and cheerfulness of Jason and his team. Again, highly recommend Durham Designs!
Best floor company we’ve used
Over the past 15 years, I've used three different wood floor companies here in town. For our last project, we chose Durham Designs—and hands down, they have been the best to work with. Jason Horn knows wood and how to get the best results. He was easy to work with and trains his team of workers for excellence. Would highly recommend him!
Fast response even after water damage
Durham Designs has been amazing to work with! Jason gave me an overview and explained the work that would be done to refinish my old floors as well as patch in some new flooring. Chris did a fabulous job of installing, sanding, staining and sealing. I was thrilled with how they turned out. Then came some water damage. Less than a week later, Chris was back to repair and refinish the damage. I’m so happy with how great they both were to work with and my final result!! I would recommend them over and over!
You can’t tell old from new
We couldn’t be happier with our wood floors. Jason & his team are incredible! We extended our 12 year old wood floors & you can’t tell where the old ends/new starts. The estimate was spot on and they showed up every day on time! I will “highly” recommend Durham forever!!!
Custom stain match + flawless lace-in
HIGHLY recommend! Durham Designs refinished our existing red oak and extended it into adjacent rooms. Jason was professional, prompt and trustworthy. Chris completed and supervised the work with excellence in all details, as if it were his own home. He was considerate and patient with all of our questions, and mixed a custom stain to perfectly match the sample we provided. He laced in the new wood so you can't see where the old ends and the new begins… QUALITY workmanship, we could not be more pleased.
Professional, and respectful
Work ethics and integrity were beyond fabulous. We are retired military and have been all over the world. These are the best group of men that we have ever worked with— showing professionalism, walking you through each step and showing kindness and respect throughout. I'm widowed so very uncomfortable with workers in the house but not in this case… they were like family. And cost was below all other bids. Win, win, and win.
Tile-to-wood blend looks “all new”
We had a large project that involved replacing tile in our entryway with wood. Jason and his team blended in the new wood seamlessly. Not only that, all the surrounding old wood that was in poor repair was refinished and stained so nicely that it basically looks like we have all new wood floors. Excellent attention to detail, very clean and efficient, and the price came in well under what I was expecting. Highly recommend Durham Designs!
